European legislation is driving a significant development in occupational hygiene requirements for clients involved in the production, processing, packaging, labelling, use and storage of chemicals.  Material Safety Data Sheets are of limited value in assessing and controlling exposure risk from hazardous substances.  The producer has increasing responsibility to provide customers and end-users with practical guidance regarding suitable controls to employ for specific uses of their chemical product.
